After Everything (2018): Brief Review

After Everything directed by Hannah Marks and Joey Power (2018), is an film about two young people who dive head first fast through life milestones due to a cancer diagnosis but than have to deal with the consequences of survival and the changes in relationship. It’s the side of the cancer romance that not many pieces of media explore. Death is explored. Romance is explored. Survival is explored. Changing after surviving a serious illness is not typically explored. This film brought a rough but real feeling of consequences which was enjoyable to see the unravel of their romantic progress and lives. It’s not necessarily anything that needs more than one watch as it’s not mind blowing by any means but enjoyable enough to watch once to see the subject exploration.
