Violet & Daisy (2011): Brief Review

Violet & Daisy directed by Geoffrey Fletcher (2011), is an film about an assassin duo who take their hit jobs in stride up until the point of meeting Michael who makes them think about the life they’re leading and how they’re doing it. It’s interesting story about two strong “teen” girls who don’t usually over think things and just do their job but then throughout the film all these small things start adding up and they’re not who you originally think they are. The small changes that the characters go through and how they see the changes in each other add small twists to the story that help keep your interest. This film overall is more of a minor thought piece than a thrilling action film. Don’t get me wrong, it has action. It’s just not the main focus of the film. It’s a good enough film to see once or twice but not anything to obsess over.
