Anthem of a Teenage Prophet directed by Robin Hays (2018), is a film about a young man who is able to selectively predict the future and it freaks him out and those around him. The characters lack character. I don’t like them or hate them. I nothing them which is worse. The acting was fine. The problem with the characters is mostly not their fault as it’s most likely just a story problem. The story is somewhat interesting idea. If they had developed it a bit better, I probably would have enjoyed it. All in all, it felt like a treadmill film with little substance and at the end of the day, going nowhere. I would not recommend watching the film as it doesn’t offer anything other than an interesting initial idea.
