Never Goin’ Back directed by Augustine Frizzell (2018), is a film about is a fun but gritty film about two girls who are best friends that are trying to enjoy and get through life. These girls get high, make mistakes, have awful family, and just rely on each other to get through the days. The characters are super likeable and somehow slightly foul. The best part is that you sit back, you follow their journey, you don’t have to think too hard about what’s going on, and you see where they end up. Not every film has to be a serious mind game or mystery. I enjoyed this film. I will most definitely watch a few more times at least or until the charm wears off.
