The Odd Way Home (2013): Brief Review

The Odd Way Home directed by Rajeev Nirmalakhandan (2013), is a film about an unstable young woman with a traumatic family history and an autistic young man going on a journey to join with their remaining family after an unexpected death. It’s a very odd found family story that I wanted to like but the acting threw everything off. It’s nice to have more stories of people with mental disorders and such but it’s a bit of a disservice to those individuals if it’s not done well and seems cheap. Overall, it could have been better. I will probably never watch it again. It wasn’t a waste of time but I wouldn’t seek it out either.

Watched on Amazon.
