Green Room (2015): Brief Review

Green Room directed by Andrea Berloff (2015), is a film about a youthful punk rock band that’s caught in a situation where they are at the wrong place at the wrong time but fight to the absolute end. The band itself seemed very true to the real world handling of punk. Absolutely loved their cover of Nazi Punks Fuck Off. The song itself was so important to the scene and helped set up the characters as well. Nothing that was seen was wasted in this film. The simplicity of the film with limited number of environments and characters within a relatively simple story set up against great acting and editing is probably what allowed me to be sucked in as much as I was. It was an absolute pleasure to watch overall. It was horrifying and thrilling in the best way.

Watched on Showtime.
